The Company: We are a family owned business, not corporate, with just one location, here in the beautiful Virginia Beach area of Southeastern Virginia. We were established in 1975 and have a long history with comprehensive dentistry grounded in joint based occlusion. We have an amazing team who has trained with some of the most elite in the dental industry. Dr Peter Dawson was a dear friend and mentor for more than 40 years,
and many of our team members were faculty and teaching assistants with his education center in Florida.
The People: Bay View Dental Lab is a full-service lab with strong removable and implant departments to support the demand for comprehensive casework. The technicians average over 20 years of experience, most of it with us. Here at Bay View we employ technicians from all over the world, bringing expertise in areas such as digital design, milling production, removable production, implant production, occlusal guards design, ceramic finishing and model & die production. As a team we spend time in continuing education courses provided by the lab. We then share our knowledge with our doctors, teaching what we learn to ensure ultimate collaboration. Our average case is both challenging and rewarding, and our team works together to deliver an impressive product above the industry standard.
The Culture: Bay View offers a beautiful new facility with state of the art equipment, a complete education center which is used for monthly courses, full kitchen with in-house Chef for breakfast and lunch, landscaped back garden for relaxation and gatherings, and attached functioning dental practice. There are few set-ups like this anywhere in the country, with the focus on comprehensive, full service casework in a teaching environment. Current Openings
Experienced Removable Technician or Dentist::
Position open to lead a boutique-size partial denture department. Focus is on high quality with very low volume. Experience with both analogue and digital is preferred but not required. Casework includes precision attachments, locator overdentures, bar partials, MK-1 bars, treatment partials and hybrids. $125,000 - $150,000 for the right person with full benefits. Additional monthly bonuses for a well-run department. Must be able to organize, lead, cross-train, communicate well to answer technical and design questions, and provide excellent customer service.
